The government is pleased that the registration for 'Thai Chua Thai Plus' proceeded without system crashes. It clarified that facial scan failures happened because users were using the app for the first time and stressed that benefit usage starts on 1 June.
On 25 May 2026, Ms. Ploytale Laksamee Saengchan, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, reported that the overall registration for the 'Thai Chua Thai Plus 60/40' program was very satisfactory as the system operated more stably and smoothly than in previous rounds. Although there was a slight delay when the system opened at 6:00 a.m., Krung Thai Bank quickly resolved the issue by expanding access capacity from 300,000 to over 700,000 transactions per second, preventing any system crashes.
Regarding some users experiencing 'facial scan failures,' it was confirmed that this issue was unrelated to the entitlement process. It occurred mainly among those activating the 'Pao Tang' app for the first time or who had deleted and reinstalled it. These users must verify their identity via the e-KYC system by using their ID cards at gray ATMs or any Krung Thai Bank branch nationwide. Users whose status shows 'awaiting registration results' are those who have never participated in the previous 'Khon La Khrueng Plus' program and must wait up to three days for eligibility verification according to program criteria.
This program will start allowing benefit use from 1 June. The government will provide 60% of the funding, equivalent to 1,000 baht per month, while participants must contribute 40%, or 667 baht monthly, to fully utilize the 100% spending limit. It is important to note that benefits must be used month by month; any unused amount will be forfeited and will not accumulate for the following month. Over the four-month program, participants will contribute a total of 2,667 baht to receive a total spending limit of 6,667 baht.
