Supamas is furious over the widespread indecent live streams flooding the city, demanding platforms take responsibility. She strongly criticized them as extremely unsafe media and ordered urgent measures to crack down on them.
On 25 May 2026, Ms. Supamas Isarapakdi, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office and chairperson of the Safe and Creative Media Development Fund Committee, expressed grave concern about inappropriate sexual content being live-streamed on a well-known online platform over the past 2-3 days. She stated that as both chairperson of the Media Fund and a mother of four, she is deeply unsettled by what should be unimaginable in Thailand. Such behavior represents severely unsafe and non-constructive media, directly opposing the Fund's mission.
Ms. Supamas emphasized that it is time for all committee members to cooperate in finding management measures for online platforms to prevent such indecent incidents from recurring. She urged the originating online platforms to take responsibility toward Thai society, noting they have so far remained silent. Initially, she has instructed the secretariat to study legal approaches and frameworks to present at the next meeting, aiming to push for decisive management measures to restore safe and constructive media for society.
