Mallika Boonmitrakul Mahasuk officially launched her candidacy for the 2026 Bangkok governor election, promoting the policy of 'A Timely Leader for the Metropolis of the Future' and confidently stating that she can resolve issues more quickly.
At 10:30 a.m. on 25 May 2026, at the Noodle in the Garden restaurant near Soi Ranong 2, Dusit district, Bangkok, Mallika Boonmitrakul Mahasuk, a political influencer, host of the YouTube channel Naewna Online, former party-list member of parliament, and former spokesperson for the Democrat Party, held a press conference officially announcing her candidacy for the position of Governor of Bangkok. She said that based on her experience as a politician, journalist, and executive in both public policy and private sectors, there is nothing beyond her capability or skills. She pledged to move forward hand in hand with the people of Bangkok.
Mallika further revealed that from speaking and listening, she understands that the city faces many problems requiring her attention, especially public health issues from PM 2.5 dust, traffic congestion, safety concerns, and economic challenges. Under the campaign 'A Timely Leader for the Metropolis of the Future,' she plans to introduce information technology innovations and AI to create comfort throughout the city, enabling people to earn a living 24 hours a day. She added that Bangkok will become a city that never sleeps when it comes to dining, boosting the economy and reducing living costs. Improvements will include upgrading local healthcare, increasing green spaces to make the city livable, and enhancing quality of life for all. The goal is to build a city people desire to live in, comparable to other major modern cities with advanced economies.

Mallika explained her decision to run as an independent candidate was motivated by the public health problems caused by PM 2.5 dust. She came forward with the slogan 'HUMAN INNOVATION: A Timely Human,' emphasizing a future-ready approach without waiting 12 years for better living conditions. She affirmed her commitment to making Bangkok as modern and economically advanced as other global power cities, confident that nothing is beyond her capability based on her experience.
