Democrat Party Receives Open Letter from Youth Calling for Government Attention to Mental Health of New Generation

Sakoltee led the team in receiving an open letter from youth urging the government to pay attention to the mental health issues of the new generation, while launching the "Youth Voice for Well-being Camp.",


The Democrat Party opened a platform to listen to young people's voices on well-being and mental health, launching the "Youth Voice for Well-being Camp," also known as "Voices of Youth for Well-being and the Future of Thai Society," to promote youth participation in designing policies and the future of Thai society.


On 25 May 2026 at the Democrat Party headquarters, Sakoltee Pattiyakul, Dr. Kadee Liewpairon, and Radklao Intawong Suwankiri, deputy party leaders, opened a platform to hear youth voices on well-being and mental health while launching the project. "Youth Voice for Well-being Camp" or "Voices of Youth for Well-being and the Future of Thai Society." The initiative aims to promote young people's participation in designing policies and the future of Thai society, with party representatives and youth networks exchanging views on physical health, mental health, and social pressures affecting the current generation.


Sakoltee, as Chair of the Parliamentary Public Health Committee, said the Democrat Party is ready to advance youth proposals into concrete policy actions because the well-being issues of the younger generation are no longer distant concerns.


Dr. Kadee Liewpairon, deputy party leader and party-list MP of the Democrat Party, said the "Youth Voice for Well-being Camp" is designed as a safe space for youth to learn, exchange, and jointly seek solutions to problems impacting their quality of life. The project will run continuously over five weeks, featuring activities and discussions on physical health, mental health, and well-being, culminating in a Youth Policy Hackathon where youth will develop ideas and policy proposals that can be practically implemented.


Meanwhile, Radklao Intawong Suwankiri, deputy leader of the Democrat Party, said the party believes young people should have a space to express their voices and help shape the country's future. She affirmed that the Democrat Party is ready to be an open platform for advancing social issues with youth and invited interested young people to join discussions with party mentors who will support and help realize their ideas into concrete actions.

The event also featured youth representatives and leaders from the Tamjai project and the Social Media Addiction project, who shared experiences and exchanged ideas on building well-being among the new generation in Thai society.
