
The "Thai Chai Thai Plus" program is highly popular, surpassing 23.7 million registrations, with nearly a million shops approved. The government is pleased to continue efforts to stimulate the economy.
On 25 May 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Lalida Pertwiwatthana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, reported progress on the "Thai Chai Thai Plus" program, led by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul. The initiative aims to reduce living costs and stimulate the grassroots economy. As of 17:00 GMT+7 that day, a total of 23,755,197 people had registered, including 18,012,406 returning participants from the previous "Half-Half Plus" program and 5,742,791 new registrants. Among the new group, 5,357,641 passed eligibility checks, while 385,150 did not, mostly because they hold state welfare cards or had previously violated program terms.
Regarding readiness from the business side, 982,541 shops have passed data verification. Of these, 977,296 are existing shops from the Whitelist database, with 449,087 fully registered and ready to use the system, and 528,209 currently accepting terms and conditions (T&C). Meanwhile, 12,117 new shops have registered, with 5,245 having passed verification.
In total, 453,611 shops are currently marked as ready to serve the public immediately, with 528,930 still pending acceptance of terms. The Deputy Spokesperson stated that the overwhelming participation numbers clearly reflect the trust of the public and businesses in the government's measures, and encouraged interested parties to register promptly to join in driving Thailand's economic recovery.
