At 16:15 on 25 May 2026 GMT+7. Chonnaphat Nakso, Member of Parliament (MP) for Songkhla Province from the Kla Tham Party. posted a message viaFacebook. He clarified the news regarding the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) submitting a request to the House of Representatives to summon him for investigation according to legal procedures. He sincerely stated that from the start, he has intended to undergo proper scrutiny and has personally provided information to the DSI, believing that when society has doubts, MPs must be ready for transparent scrutiny through the justice process.
Chonnaphat further explained that the DSI must follow the constitution and legal procedures fully. Especially as the House is currently in session, permission from the House is required to ensure all actions comply with the rule of law and to avoid procedural errors later.
"For me, this is an opportunity to prove myself through a straightforward justice process, and I am fully cooperative. At the same time, I continue to perform my duties as an MP to serve the people. If the House session closes, I will still proceed through the process. I am willing to set a new precedent for MPs in the House, and I hope that if anyone else faces suspicion in the future, this precedent will apply consistently across Thailand. I ask the Speaker not to single me out for different treatment."
Finally, I thank everyone for their support and affirm my readiness to undergo all legal procedures with sincerity while continuing to work for the people to the best of my ability.
