The Bhumjaithai Party struck back at "Teng," firmly denying the existence of a "Blue Regime," accusing attempts to smear the party as efforts to divert attention from internal problems within the opposition party.
On 25 May 2026, Ms. Nan Boonthida Somchai, Deputy Minister of Digital Economy and Society and spokesperson for the Bhumjaithai Party (BJT), responded to opposition leader Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut’s claim that Thai politics is under a "Blue Regime" represented by Bhumjaithai. Ms. Boonthida strongly denied the existence of such a regime, stating that Bhumjaithai is simply a political party that uses blue as its symbol and logo. She emphasized that it is not a secretive organization, and that all Thai political parties operate under the same system: a democratic regime with the monarchy as head of state. She added that such accusations cause damage and intentionally confuse the public.
The Bhumjaithai spokesperson also commented on the motivation behind the opposition leader’s recent remarks, suggesting it may not only be due to the declining popularity of the opposition party. She speculated that Mr. Natthapong aims to divert attention and obscure internal conflicts within his own party at this time by attacking other political parties instead.
