Still Fatigued, Suriya Uncertain About Attending Cabinet Meeting, May See Doctor for Further Checkup

After completing his inspection duties in Udon Thani, Suriya revealed that his condition is gradually improving but he has not confirmed whether he will attend tomorrow’s Cabinet meeting due to ongoing fatigue since returning to Bangkok. He is considering seeing a doctor for further evaluation.

25 May 2026 GMT+7 Suriya Junrungreangkit, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, stated after completing his inspection mission in Udon Thani province that his overall condition has improved after experiencing fatigue and loss of consciousness last night, which required medical attention.

He also disclosed that he originally planned to attend the Cabinet meeting tomorrow (26 May 2026) as scheduled, to report on his inspection in Udon Thani regarding water management, progress of the 2026 Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo, and local issues raised by residents.

However, after returning to Bangkok, he still feels fatigued from his full day of duties and remains uncertain if he can attend the Cabinet meeting. He may visit a doctor for further examination.

During his visit in Udon Thani, Suriya monitored water management at the Ban Sam Phrao water gate in Mueang Udon Thani district, listened to residents’ concerns, then proceeded to Nong Da wetland area in Kut Sa subdistrict to review progress on the "2026 Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo."

Suriya said the 2026 Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo is an important international event and the first in the world to be held fully on a wetland, providing a key opportunity to boost the green economy, tourism, and high-value agriculture in Northeast Thailand. Construction progress is currently about 77.47%, with efforts underway to complete remaining work in time for the scheduled opening from 1 November 2026 to 14 March 2027.

“Although over 70% of the work is complete, the remaining time is crucial. All parts must be finished on schedule, with quality, meet international standards, and ensure transparent, verifiable use of funds.”
