Siripong mocked Teng for merely using a political gimmick to fight after sparking the "blue regime" rhetoric, pointing out continual associations but insisting Bhumjaithai is unharmed since the public elected them first in this election.
At 10:00 a.m. on 26 May 2026 at Government House, Siripong Angkasakulkiat, Deputy Minister of Transport and Deputy Leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, addressed the issue of Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, List MP and leader of the People’s Party (Popchon) as opposition leader, stating that Thailand’s political society is under the "blue regime". Siripong said he did not think this was a big issue; it was a normal matter. He said such statements are routine, likely a political gimmick from the opposition, as it is normal for them to oppose and seek gimmicks; the mechanism of ideological struggle is natural.
When asked if the claim that the blue regime controls the country would harm Bhumjaithai, Siripong said he did not feel harmed at all because Bhumjaithai came from the election and the public chose them first. He added that how others interpret it is normal for people to have their preferences. If they win, they say the public chose them; if others win, they accuse fraud — it’s all normal.
When asked if Bhumjaithai sees no significance in this matter, Siripong said there is no significance. He thought they were linking too many things, since some are normal practices and not issues that should be raised as topics.
When asked whether the opposition leader’s raising this issue would affect government stability, Siripong said in his personal opinion it would not, as such issues have arisen before. Whether they emphasize it or not, he believed it does not matter.
