
The Cabinet Secretary is preparing to submit an explanation regarding the 400 billion baht loan decree to the Constitutional Court within today, after the 7-day deadline has passed. It is awaited whether the court will request additional clarifications from anyone else.
At 09:25 on 26 May 2026 at the Government House, Mrs. Natcharee Anantasilp, the Cabinet Secretary, spoke about submitting the explanation to the Constitutional Court regarding the 400 billion baht loan decree. She said the Cabinet assigned the Ministry of Finance, the National Economic and Social Development Council, the Ministry of Energy, and the Council of State to jointly prepare the explanation alongside the Secretariat of the Cabinet. Then, the Secretariat will prepare the documents to submit to the Prime Minister for forwarding to the Constitutional Court. The submission will be made today as it is the final day according to the 7-day deadline. The Secretariat will be the one to deliver the documents to the Constitutional Court. After that, it will depend on the court whether to call any individuals for further clarification.
Meanwhile, Mr. Anan Kaewkamnerd, Director-General of the Budget Bureau, said he has already sent the draft explanation. This draft will serve as a general explanatory statement, and the Secretariat of the Cabinet will proceed with the next steps.
Mr. Noppadol Periruek, Secretary-General of the Council of State, said the draft statement has been reviewed by the Council of State committee.
