The government revealed that by 5 p.m. on the second day of registrations for the 'Thai Chuey Thai Plus 60/40' program, the total number of registrants exceeded 25.1 million, with the system approving over 5.7 million new applicants within 24 hours.
On 26 May 2026, Ms. Lalida Pertwiwatthana, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, stated that after the government opened registrations for the program, "Thai Chuey Thai Plus 60/40", which began on 25 May, the latest figures show that as of 5:00 p.m. on 26 May 2026, a total of 25,118,135 people had registered. This reflects strong confidence and ongoing support from people nationwide (Check remaining eligibility and registration at www.ไทยช่วยไทยพลัส.th)
The Deputy Spokesperson explained that on the first day of registration, 23,755,197 people joined the program, and within 24 hours, registrations increased by another 1,362,938, including 18,568,785 previous Khon La Khrueng Plus participants (73.9%) and 6,549,350 new registrants (26.1%).
A key highlight on day two was the system’s rapid and efficient screening of new applicants. Initially, over 5.35 million were awaiting eligibility checks on day one, but this number dropped to just 406,547, a 92.4% reduction. Meanwhile, 5,704,015 new registrants were approved and granted rights within 24 hours, accounting for 87.1% of all new applications.
Currently, a total of 24,272,800 registrations have been successfully completed, representing 96.6% of all applicants. This includes 18,568,785 former Khon La Khrueng Plus participants and 5,704,015 new registrants.
Among the 438,788 disqualified applicants, 99.51% hold state welfare cards, consistent with program rules preventing overlapping benefits from other government welfare schemes. Others were deceased, relocated abroad, or had previously violated program conditions.
The Deputy Government Spokesperson added that these figures demonstrate the registration and eligibility verification system’s effectiveness in handling large volumes steadily, enabling citizens to receive benefits quickly, transparently, and fairly. On 26 May alone, 678,466 new people registered, with over 63.6% having never participated in Khon La Khrueng Plus before, indicating that after most previous users registered, new participants are increasingly joining.
"The government affirms its commitment to maintaining and facilitating the system fully, closely monitoring the program to ensure that Thai Chuey Thai Plus 60/40 serves as a vital mechanism to reduce living costs, stimulate spending, and generate tangible economic circulation nationwide."
