Atthakorn Sirilattayakorn, Member of Parliament for Chachoengsao and spokesperson for the Kla Tham Party, stated after the Kla Tham Party’s weekly meeting that the party continues to affirm its position supporting constitutional amendments, taking into account the results of the recent public referendum. They believe the amendment process should follow appropriate, careful procedures that comply with legal requirements.
Atthakorn added that the Kla Tham Party agrees with establishing the Constitution Drafting Assembly (CDA) to legitimately draft a new constitution. He has had discussions with various political parties, both government coalition and opposition, each expressing concerns and points to be cautious about, especially regarding legal loopholes and the processes that will follow.
The Kla Tham Party spokesperson also emphasized that the party is ready to seriously support advancing constitutional amendments, whether by proposing its own draft or by supporting drafts from other parties if they benefit the country and the people.
