Seripisut Angry Over Opposition MPs Refusal to Sign Ethics Complaint Against Anutin and Chaiyachon, Plans to Submit to EC and NACC Over Khao Kradong Land Issue

Seripisut expressed anger that opposition MPs refused to sign an ethics complaint against Anutin and Chaiyachon. He plans to submit the case via the Election Commission to the Constitutional Court for prosecution. He also intends to file a complaint with the National Anti-Corruption Commission against the prime minister and associates for violating Section 157 by not revoking the Khao Kradong land rights.

At 09:30 on 27 May 2026 at the Parliament, Pol Gen Seripisut Temiyavet, party-list MP and leader of the Seri Ruam Thai Party, updated on progress in gathering MPs' signatures to submit to the Speaker of the House to refer to the Constitutional Court for prosecuting Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Minister of Digital Economy and Society Chaiyachon Chidchob. They are accused of lacking the qualifications of honesty and integrity required of MPs and ministers, and violating serious ethical standards over possession of land at Khao Kradong in Buriram Province. He said so far, no opposition MPs have signed the complaint except Dr. Warong Dechgitvigrom, party-list MP and leader of the Thai Pakdee Party. Parties such as Prachachon, Kla Tham, Democrat, and Sai Ruam Phalang have not signed. Even after submitting documents to Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva and party-list MP Chuan Leekpai, there was no response as they apparently prefer to wait for a coalition government.

Therefore, he will change the approach by submitting the case to the Election Commission instead, to have it decide and forward to the Constitutional Court without needing MPs' signatures, as allowed under Section 170, paragraph 3 of the Constitution. He plans to submit on 28 May. Although hopes are diminished, he trusts the evidence is strong and clear. If the Election Commission fails to forward the case to the Constitutional Court, he will sue the Commission. Additionally, on the afternoon of 27 May, he will submit a complaint to the National Anti-Corruption Commission to charge Anutin, Chaiyachon, the permanent secretary of the Interior Ministry, and the Director-General of the Land Department with dereliction of duty under Penal Code Section 157 for failing to revoke the 5,083-rai Khao Kradong land in Buriram. A court ruling confirmed the land belongs to the State Railway of Thailand, but revocation has not yet occurred. He calls on the Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate.
