Anutin Responds to Teng: Bhumjaithai Is Not a Blue Regime Agent but a Builder of Institutional Loyalty

The Prime Minister emphasized he owes no debt of gratitude to the Orange Party since he already dissolved parliament for them, responding to "Teng" by saying Bhumjaithai is not an agent of the Blue Regime but a builder of loyalty to the institutions.

On 27 May 2026, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, commented on the case where Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the People's Party (Pop), accused Bhumjaithai Party of acting as a representative for the “Blue Regime.” He said Bhumjaithai is not an agent but a "Manufacturer" and a creator of awareness for Thais to love the nation, religion, monarchy, and the people.

The Prime Minister also said that referring to the Blue Regime does not only mean the monarchy but encompasses all of Thailand. If we are honest, loyal, and uphold the institution, then anyone defining this term is defining Thailand itself. Therefore, Bhumjaithai is not an agent and does not need a distributor. Regarding Natthapong’s stance raising this issue, he said, “It’s okay, whatever makes you comfortable.”

When asked about the People's Party spiritual leader’s statement that the new constitutional amendment should exclude the Privy Council section and about political debts being demanded, the Prime Minister responded that Bhumjaithai has already proposed its constitutional amendment draft in our own context. We owe only the people gratitude, thank the Orange Party but owe no debt. It’s all settled. If they say they voted for me as Prime Minister the first time and later their leader requested me to dissolve parliament during the constitutional debate, which I did, then that settles it.

The Prime Minister firmly emphasized that his current position results from the people’s decision through the general election on 8 February, where Bhumjaithai received the highest votes. In forming this government, no People's Party MPs voted to support him even once. Therefore, he owes no gratitude to the People's Party.

Regarding the People's Party leader’s refusal to apologize to the group of senators who were implicated in the Blue Regime remarks, Anutin clarified that he did not demand an apology. This matter is between the People's Party and the group of senators, who were the opposing parties previously. He and Bhumjaithai are not involved in this issue.
