Wiroj Urges Highway Department to Investigate Truck Sticker Trend, Fears Revival of Truck Extortion

Wiroj exposes the revival of extortion sticker fashion on trucks in a new form: "Drive Impolitely, Please Report..." Yet these are placed on the front and sides of vehicles. He questions whether this is intended to facilitate officials at weigh stations and highway police.

At 17:20 on 27 May 2026, Mr. Wiroj Lakkhanaadisorn, a party-list MP for the Prachachon Party, posted images with a message on Facebook titled "Truck Sticker Fashion Is Back, Now with New Innovation." He stated that the truck sticker trend has returned, and what astonishes him is the innovation of the "Drive Impolitely, Please Report..." sticker. If one is unaware, it wouldn't raise suspicion, but looking closely at where the sticker is placed provokes some doubt. Usually, such stickers are attached to the rear of pickup trucks to allow drivers following behind to report reckless or law-breaking truck drivers to the transport company for disciplinary action. However, the latest version of this sticker is attached to the driver's door or the windshield, seemingly making it easier for weigh station officers and highway police to notice.

Wiroj further posted that because the sticker is placed on the windshield, if it is meant for drivers in front of the truck to read, they likely won't understand it since when viewed through the rearview mirror, the text and phone number appear reversed. Meanwhile, a sticker on the truck driver’s door would require the other driver to drive alongside and look left, which is also dangerous.

"I truly admire this innovation. I ask Police Major General Phornsak Laorujiralai, Commander of the Highway Police Division, and Alongkorn Promsill, Director of the Vehicle Weight Control Office, Department of Highways, to investigate this sticker innovation and trend. If it is found to be inappropriate, please help prevent it from becoming widespread. Currently, the information I have suggests many of these have already debuted."
