
Thirteen candidates for the 2026 Bangkok governor election drew lots to determine their campaign numbers. Police Lieutenant General Chanthep drew first, 'Mom Korn' received number 1, 'Chadchart' was assigned number 9, 'Chaiwat' got number 10, and 'Anucha' number 5.
At 08:00 on 28 May 2026, at the Airawat Pattana building, Bangkok City Hall 2 (Din Daeng), the registration for candidates for the Bangkok governor and Bangkok Council members officially opened. This was the first day of registration, which will continue until 1 June 2026, at Mit Maitri Road, Din Daeng Subdistrict, Din Daeng District, Bangkok.
Next came the step of drawing candidate numbers. Candidates for Bangkok governor who arrived before 08:30 were called to draw their campaign numbers. The director of the Bangkok local election office drew lots to determine the order in which candidates would draw their numbers, conducted as follows:
1. Police Lieutenant General Chanthep Sesavej of the Economic Party received number 12.
2. Mr. Chaiwat Sathapornvijit of the People's Party received number 10.
3. Mr. Komsan Panwichatikul, independent candidate, received number 13.
4. Mr. Pisal Kittiyaowamal, independent candidate, received number 6.
5. Mr. Phaspong Chaiwiriyavanich, candidate from the Bangkok Flying Group, received number 7.
6. Mr. Pongsak Puapornpong, independent candidate, received number 3.
7. Mr. Prayoon Krongyot, independent candidate, received number 11.
8. Mom Luang Korakasiwat Kasemsri, independent candidate, received number 1.
9. Mr. Prateep Watcharachokkasem, independent candidate, received number 4.
10. Mr. Weerapot Lueprasitkul, independent candidate, received number 8.
11. Mr. Anucha Buppachaisri of the Democrat Party received number 5.
12. Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, independent candidate, received number 9.
13. Mr. Samai Lalert, independent candidate, received number 2.
14. Mrs. Mallika Boonmitrakul Mahasuk, independent candidate, was assigned number 14 without a draw because she did not register before 08:30.
