Chadchart Says Getting Number 9 Is Progress Whether He Surpasses 1.38 Million Votes Depends on the People

Chadchart revealed that getting number 9 is good, marking progress from number 8, and described his policies as progressive. He invited reporters to run every morning, explained discussions with Dr. Joe-James Anucha about bringing their children to campaign, instructed his team not to be misled by polls, and emphasized that the green color is available for anyone to use. Whether he surpasses 1.38 million votes this time depends on the people too.

On 28 May 2026, Chadchart Sittipunt spoke about drawing number 9 this time, saying it is a slight improvement from 8 to 9, with 9 symbolizing progress. Regarding the hand-raising gesture, he said his team should think it over. When asked if he was satisfied with number 9, Chadchart said any number is fine; ultimately, people choose the candidate. Number 9 is good, and the policies are progressive—moving forward, stepping ahead. When asked if reporters should prepare running shoes to follow him, he said that’s good; he runs every morning to inspect public parks. He also noted that this year’s number of candidates is fewer than last time, although reporters pointed out that the first day last time had 14 candidates.

When asked if there are still problems in Bangkok's eastern zone, Chadchart said the eastern zone is large and has many new residents. There are issues with roads because older roads lack drainage pipes. As construction increased, flooding began, so much repair is needed, along with improvements in lighting. This differs from inner-city problems like street vendors, which Traffy Fondue reports to them comprehensively.

When asked if he was enjoying himself today, Chadchart said there is nothing special; he is here for hope. It's just a campaign. He avoids conflict and focuses on doing things happily, presenting good ideas—that is his approach and the theme of volunteers who come with joy and hope.

Chadchart also greeted Anucha, who drew number 5 and comfortably raised one hand. When reporters asked about a prior conversation among Chadchart, Anucha, and Chaiwat Sathawornwijit, Chadchart said they talked about who would bring their children to help campaign since they all studied engineering. When asked if having all candidates from engineering backgrounds affects anything, he said all professions are good, but it’s not just engineering; education, public health, and diverse team members are also involved because all fields can contribute to the country.

Chadchart added that he will continue to visit areas and participate in debates. He emphasized that corruption is a serious issue, noting that 41 people were dismissed in the past, so collaboration is necessary. Regarding campaigning locations announced to the media today, he said there’s no hidden meaning; he uses public transport to avoid impacting citizens. Regarding supporters, he thinks it’s good for every party to have them as color and spirit. Looking at polls, he asked for fair competition, pledged to do his best, and told his team not to be swayed by polls. He confirmed he will continue grassroots work and engage with many agencies, ending with the slogan: "A city of opportunity and hope for everyone, raising hand number 9."

Later, when asked if he expects to get more than 1.38 million votes in this election, Chadchart said it depends on the people, respecting their choice. Regarding the group of senators using green, Chadchart said green symbolizes sustainability and anyone can use it; he urged not to mislead the public into thinking he supports anyone specifically.
