On 28 May 2026, following Pol. Lt. Gen. Chanthep Sesavej, known as Big Yom, the candidate for Bangkok governor representing the Economic Party, departed from the Irawat Phatthana Building at Bangkok City Hall, Din Daeng 2, after registering his candidacy and drawing number 12. In an interview, he said he was satisfied with the number he received because it was a number the party had prepared beforehand, which felt right and was a good sign.
Pol. Lt. Gen. Chanthep added that he would next visit the Makkasan community to assess issues and actual conditions on site, following the policies he previously announced. He plans to quickly find measures to prevent recurrence of problems such as traffic congestion, building collapses, storms, and floods. Additional policy details will be provided later.
