“Jo Chaiwat” and “Wirot” lead the People’s Council candidates in unveiling the “50 Districts, 50 Agendas” Action Plan to solve city complaints about traffic, waste, and welfare.
On 28 May 2026, Mr. Chaiwat Sathawornwijit, also known as "Jo," candidate for Bangkok Governor number 10 from the People’s Party, along with Mr. Wirot Lakkhanaadisorn, the People’s Governor management team, joined forces with the candidates for the Bangkok Metropolitan Council (BMC) to announce the district-level strategic plan “50 Districts, 50 Agendas.” This plan was designed and distilled from real problems encountered during continuous field visits to meet with local residents. It aims to serve as an urgent roadmap to improve the quality of life in Bangkok immediately upon election.
Mr. Wirot introduced an important portal website called "Bangkok Made Easy Map," a digital platform allowing Bangkok residents to report problems and co-design their neighborhoods with BMC candidates in each district. Within the first week of the trial, over 1,000 complaints had been pinned by citizens.
“This website will remain continuously accessible because the People’s Party believes in teamwork, including the power of all Bangkok residents. This platform will be an excellent raw data source enabling both our governor and BMC candidates to precisely target and solve problems and develop districts from the very first day in office,” Mr. Wirot said.
Next, representatives of the People’s Party BMC candidates took turns presenting the "first event agenda" of each district requiring immediate action. In Khlong Sam Wa district, plans focus on solving the shortage of public vehicles by pushing for two additional bus routes through strategic points and building walkways along canals with smart lighting for increased safety. Bang Bon district highlights the "Two-Age Center" policy, its first pilot, preparing to sign an MOU to use a three-story abandoned building from the Department of Children’s Affairs to renovate as a center caring for both young children and the elderly. Pathum Wan district declared a war on waste by planning to organize waste disposal points according to alley conditions and launch a GPS tracking program for garbage trucks through an app to allow residents to monitor collection times in real time.
At the end of the press conference, Mr. Chaiwat invited the public to check their district’s Action Plan via the party’s official website and emphasized the main goal of transforming Bangkok into a “city that cares for its people, elevates quality of life to be easier to live, easier to establish oneself, and to age with quality.”
