On 28 May 2026, Bangkok reported the number of candidates for the Bangkok governor and Bangkok Metropolitan Council (BMC) elections after the first day of registration closed at 16:30. There were a total of 241 candidates registered for the 50 BMC districts.
The five districts with the highest numbers of candidates are Khlong Sam Wa with 10 candidates, Khan Na Yao with 9, Phaya Thai with 7, Phasi Charoen with 7, and Yannawa with 7 candidates.
