The Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration firmly denied sending the Line chat message “Help Namngern” and insisted that he has never supported any political faction in his official duties. He believes the opposing side is attempting to discredit him after financial investigations targeted several government officials in Phuket.
On 29 May 2026, Narucha Kosasivilai, Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration, Ministry of Interior, spoke about the case involving Pattharaphong Supakorn, also known as Lawyer Aun Buriram, and a People’s Party MP who received a complaint from Rungrueng Thimabut, Phuket’s provincial secretary. Rungrueng claimed he was unfairly transferred to assist in official duties because he did not comply with political work, following the leak of a Line chat message stating “Help Namngern” during the last election. Narucha said he did not send that message and was unaware of it. His Line account is public and linked to multiple devices, not just his mobile phone, so he cannot confirm if someone else wrote that message. However, he firmly asserted that he never sent it.
The Director-General added that throughout his career, he has never favored any political party in his duties. He believes the claims made by Pattharaphong and Rungrueng are attempts to discredit him, especially after the Department of Provincial Administration requested the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) to investigate the financial trails of several officials in Phuket, which are strongly linked to many target groups.
Regarding claims that five administrative officers were transferred because they did not comply with political work, he said this is untrue. Of those five, four district chiefs are fully aware that their transfers were to assist in fact-finding inquiries and that the duration before their return was clearly specified. Only the provincial secretary of Phuket has expressed dissatisfaction.
