Dr. Joe Announces 10 People-Centric City Policies on Billboards Across Bangkok, Ensuring No Extortion for Vendors

Joe Chaiwat has installed billboards throughout Bangkok promoting 10 people-focused city policies: expanding bus routes connecting to electric trains, using the Gold Card for doctor visits without long waits, guaranteeing vendors do not pay extortion fees, and cleaning 100% of drainage pipes annually to end water drainage issues.

On 29 May 2026, Chaiwat Sathaworawijit, candidate for Bangkok governor, unveiled large billboards from 6:00 a.m. for commuters throughout Bangkok to see. These billboards appeared at key locations such as Victory Monument, Siam Paragon, and Din Daeng Triangle, displaying Chaiwat's election message "People-Care City." Each billboard featured different policies, totaling 10, corresponding to Chaiwat’s candidate number, 10.

The 10 policies displayed on the billboards include:

  • We will expand bus routes connecting to electric trains, with shelters protecting from sun and rain.
  • We will resolve referral letter issues so Gold Card holders can see doctors without long waits.
  • We will clean 100% of drainage pipes every year to solve water drainage problems.
  • Crime prevention 24 hours a day by linking government and private CCTV using AI.
  • We guarantee vendors can trade without paying extortion fees.
  • We will provide free care for bedridden patients by hiring over 5,000 caregivers.
  • We will introduce water buses in canals to revive popular waterway transport.
  • We will increase community elderly care centers by 10 locations.
  • We will support SMEs by encouraging purchases from small shops with prize incentives.
  • We will offer affordable rental housing in the city.

Each billboard shows Chaiwat Sathaworawijit's photo and number 10, along with the slogan "Building a City That Cares for People."

Chaiwat previously announced that although some election signs would be displayed, their number would be limited, and no governor candidate posters would be placed along roads or on lampposts. This aims to ease daily life in Bangkok by reducing traffic obstruction and resource use, instead relying on other media such as vinyl banners in markets and communities, leaflets, billboards, and social media.
