The government announced that the “Thai Chuey Thai Plus” program closed registration after 5 days with over 26 million sign-ups, inviting merchants to join the program. The initiative also features the “Nok Kasib” app to elevate business knowledge.
On 30 May 2026, reporters were informed that on 29 May, Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that as of 22:05, following the closure of the registration system for the “Thai Chuey Thai Plus (60/40)” project, 26.04 million people had registered. This reflects positive public reception toward the government’s economic stimulus and cost-of-living reduction measures, while merchants nationwide enthusiastically joined to help stimulate the grassroots economy and increase economic circulation in the second half of the year.
New merchants can still register until 31 July 2026 and begin receiving benefits from 1 June 2026 onward. Meanwhile, merchants who previously participated in the “Khon La Khrueng Plus” program and have been approved can immediately accept the agreement and terms via the “Tung Ngern” application.
Additionally, the Ministry of Finance plans to launch the AI assistant “Nok Kasib” on the “Tung Ngern” app to enhance digital commerce skills (Upskill). This tool will help small entrepreneurs analyze sales, manage inventory, and assess financial health, improving their chances to access formal credit and effectively expand their businesses in the future. This “Plus” is an added feature by the government to enable small and micro entrepreneurs to use data for more accurate business planning and decision-making.
