Government Launches Nok Kasip on Thung Ngern App to Help Shops Analyze Sales and Costs Starting 1 June

The government promotes AI to help small retailers by launching "Nok Kasip," an intelligent assistant on the Thung Ngern app that analyzes sales, costs, and raw material prices, starting 1 June.

On 1 June 2026, Ms. Lalida Pertwiwatthana, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, announced that the government, led by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, is advancing small entrepreneurs and community shops by integrating AI technology to assist store management. The "Nok Kasip" intelligent assistant on the Thung Ngern application will be officially available from 1 June 2026 onwards to help shops participating in the "Thai Chuey Thai Plus 60/40" project access vital data and manage their businesses more efficiently.

Ms. Lalida explained that "Nok Kasip" is an AI chatbot for shops that answers questions about the Thai Chuey Thai Plus project and features on the Thung Ngern app. Shops can type questions or select preset questions to get information instantly, reducing the need to search for data and enhancing convenience in using government digital systems.

Furthermore, the government has enhanced AI capabilities to assist entrepreneurs in analyzing business data in real time, helping reduce costs, increase income, and plan store management more accurately. Key features include:

1. Automatic sales analysis

"Nok Kasip" summarizes actual sales data in an easy-to-read format to help store owners manage their businesses effectively. This includes daily sales summaries, number of transactions, analysis of peak sales periods, and assistance in planning stock and staffing to match busy times.

2. Daily average raw material price checking

The AI links with the Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce, to display daily average prices of key raw materials such as pork, chicken, and other meats. This helps shops monitor costs conveniently and make precise raw material purchasing plans.

3. Preliminary profit and cost calculation

The system helps shops analyze current costs compared to selling prices to assess if product pricing yields sufficient profit. This enhances cost management efficiency and long-term business planning.

"Nok Kasip" supports use on Thung Ngern app version 5.50.0 and above and is available to all shop types immediately upon logging in as store owners.

Ms. Lalida stated the government values digital technology and AI to strengthen small entrepreneurs, who are a vital mechanism of the grassroots economy. The aim is for shops to use real data to make business decisions, reduce costs, increase income, and compete in the digital economy.

"The government wants AI to be a tool that creates opportunities for people, especially small entrepreneurs, enabling easier access to important information, practical business planning with technology, and full benefit from government measures."
