Seripisut Stops by Newins House Before Visiting Buriram Police to Pursue Khao Kradong Land Case

Seripisut, leader of the Seri Ruam Thai Party, headed to Buriram accompanied by lawyer Aun. They stopped in front of Newin Chidchob's house before proceeding to Buriram Provincial Police to pursue legal action over the Khao Kradong land dispute.

On 1 June 2026, reporters covered the movements of Pol. Gen. Seripisut Temiyavet, party-list MP and leader of the Seri Ruam Thai Party, who traveled to Buriram Province to monitor progress in legal proceedings concerning the Khao Kradong land dispute—a contested area between the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) and numerous land title holders in the region.

At 10:06 a.m., Pol. Gen. Seripisut and his team arrived at the residence of Mr. Newin Chidchob, chairman of Buriram United Football Club, located in Isan Subdistrict, Mueang District, Buriram Province. Several media outlets followed their visit. Observers noted security personnel stationed continuously at the entrance, strictly controlling access and prohibiting outsiders from entering the property. Seripisut's group remained only at the front entrance and did not enter the house. Reports indicated that Newin was not present at the residence during that time.

At 10:24 a.m., Pol. Gen. Seripisut and his team left the residence and headed to the Buriram Provincial Police headquarters to file a complaint and submit supporting information for legal proceedings to the investigators. Lawyer Pattharapong Supaksorn, also known as lawyer Aun, joined the group to monitor the process. Upon arrival, they used the police meeting room as the venue to discuss and submit the complaint documents. Pol. Col. Rakkiet Yaembangyang, investigation chief of Buriram Provincial Police, welcomed them and accepted the complaint in accordance with legal procedures.

The Khao Kradong land dispute involves about 5,083 rai of land covering over 900 land titles and holdings. The State Railway of Thailand maintains that this land is state property, while many title holders continue to assert their rights based on their land documents. This long-standing dispute has led to ongoing legal actions. Pol. Gen. Seripisut's visit is a closely watched development, particularly concerning efforts to ensure relevant agencies enforce the law against those involved in possession and use of the disputed land. Many are awaiting updates on case progress and law enforcement following today's complaint submission.
