Chaiyachon revealed he holds no grudge against Seripisut for confronting him at his home in Buriram, asked about the progress regarding the Khao Kradong land issue, affirmed confidence in the ownership documents, and did not overlook that the move to take action might be politically motivated.
2 Jun 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Chaiyachon Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society and secretary-general of the Bhumjaithai Party, and son of Mr. Newin Chidchob, chairman of the Buriram United Football Club, spoke regarding the case that Police General Seripisut Temiyavet, a party-list MP and leader of the Seri Ruam Thai Party, traveled to Buriram province to follow up on legal proceedings concerning the Khao Kradong land dispute, which is a contested area between the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) and numerous land title holders in the area. He said "Regarding Khao Kradong, our position remains the same. We are confident in the documents and rights we hold, which are not only the documents my family possesses but also the rights of the people of Buriram. Our stance remains unchanged, and I have no comment on other matters."
As for Police General Seripisut's activism, Chaiyachon said there are two perspectives. "First, he might genuinely believe that this is a wrongdoing and wants to do what is right. But from another angle, it could be seen as a political game." He reaffirmed their position remains unchanged. Regarding the visit to his home, he said he holds no grudge and is unsure how others who have been confronted might feel. Currently, no legal actions have been discussed.
