Ratchada Thanadirek, spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office, revealed that the Pride City Network delegation met with Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul at the central hall of Government House Building 1. They pinned “Road to Bangkok WorldPride 2030” badges as a symbol of support to push for Thailand to be chosen as the global event host in 2030.
The government spokesperson added that in 2026, the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security partnered with networks to elevate provincial and city policies to concretely embrace LGBTQ+ rights and diversity. On 28 May 2026, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed to collaborate on pilot provinces promoting gender equality.
