Government Reports Thai Help Thai Plus Spending Surpasses 2.581 Billion Baht, Reflecting Boost in Consumer Spending

The government spokesperson revealed that the cumulative spending under "Thai Help Thai Plus" has surpassed 2.581 billion baht since its launch on 1 June, reflecting a tangible boost in consumer spending and helping to ease the cost of living for the public.

2 June 2026 GMT+7 Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, spokesperson for the Office of the Prime Minister, reported progress on the "Thai Help Thai Plus (60/40)" program, saying it has received ongoing positive responses from both the public and business operators, demonstrating confidence in spending and the role of government measures in stimulating the domestic economy. As of 2 June 2026, 11:00 a.m., cumulative spending totaled 2,581.03 million baht. This breaks down into 1,078.18 million baht spent by the public and 1,502.85 million baht contributed by the government to support spending.

Regarding participation, over 10.09 million people have used the program, generating 17.71 million spending transactions, while more than 711,000 shops nationwide have joined and received payments through the program.

The spokesperson for the Office of the Prime Minister added, these figures show that the Thai Help Thai Plus program effectively stimulates consumer spending. This leads to money circulating within local economies, increasing income for small shops, local entrepreneurs, and community businesses across the country.

"The government believes this program is an important mechanism to provide liquidity to grassroots businesses and help ease the public's cost of living, while also strengthening the economy comprehensively and sustainably. The government will continue monitoring the program's implementation to compile macroeconomic data for policy use going forward."
