
The Prime Minister presided over the Buddhist chanting ceremony and the alms-giving to 149 monks, offering royal merit on the occasion of the grand royal celebration marking the 84th birthday anniversary of Her Majesty the Queen on 3 June 2026.
At 07:00 on 3 June 2026, at Sanam Luang, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, accompanied by his spouse Thanon Charnvirakul, presided over the Buddhist chanting and alms-giving ceremony to offer royal merit on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s 84th birthday anniversary.
Upon arrival at the ceremonial pavilion in Sanam Luang, ten senior monks of the royal monastic order took their seats. The Prime Minister lit incense and candles to pay homage to the Triple Gem, made a respectful wai, and offered incense and candles before the portrait of Her Majesty the Queen. Officials invited the ten senior monks to administer precepts, after which the monks chanted Buddhist scriptures.
Subsequently, the Prime Minister and spouse, the Chief Justice and spouse, the President of the Senate (representing the President of the National Assembly), the President of the Supreme Administrative Court, the Chairperson of the Election Commission, the Ombudsman, heads of constitutional organizations, and the Royal Household Bureau presented robes and offerings to ten monks. The Prime Minister poured water to receive blessings, paid respects to the Triple Gem, and paid homage before the portrait of Her Majesty the Queen.
Thereafter, the Prime Minister and spouse led participants in giving alms to 149 monks. After the ceremony, they proceeded to sign the royal well-wishing book for Her Majesty the Queen at the Red Room, Building 904, Royal Household Bureau, in the Grand Palace.
At 08:00 in the Red Room, Building 904, Royal Household Bureau, Grand Palace, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul signed the royal congratulatory book for Her Majesty the Queen on the auspicious occasion of her 84th birthday anniversary on 3 June 2026. His spouse Thanon Charnvirakul, deputy prime ministers and their spouses, and the Prime Minister’s secretary-general attended the ceremony.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister and spouse presented flower arrangements before the portrait of Her Majesty the Queen as follows.
Set 1: The Prime Minister and deputy prime ministers presented a flower arrangement on behalf of the “Prime Minister and Cabinet.”
Set 2: The Prime Minister and spouse presented a flower arrangement on behalf of the “Prime Minister and spouse.”
Set 3: The Prime Minister’s spouse, together with the spouses of the deputy prime ministers, presented a flower arrangement on behalf of the “Spouses of the Cabinet.”
Afterwards, the Prime Minister and spouse signed the royal congratulatory book, paid respects to the portrait, concluding the ceremony.
