
Within two days of launching the “Thai Chuey Thai Plus 60/40” program, over 14 million people have actively used their benefits, with total spending exceeding 4.5 billion baht. It is emphasized that these benefits can be applied to fares for BTS and MRT trains, buses, and the Chao Phraya Express Boat.
On 3 June 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, spokesperson for the Office of the Prime Minister, revealed the progress of the “ Thai Chuey Thai Plus 60/40” program. She stated that the public continues to spend actively and consistently. As of 2 June 2026 GMT+7 at 23:00, cumulative spending reached 4,542.08 million baht. A total of 14,402,305 people have successfully used the benefits, with 792,045 participating merchants registering completed transactions.
The government spokesperson added that beyond this, there is public transport included in the Thai Chuey Thai Plus project that many people are unaware of — namely, it can be used on eight electric train lines and bus and boat services, including:
Ms. Ratchada also emphasized that usage under the Thai Chuey Thai Plus 60/40 program must be for genuine goods and services at the paid value. Merchants are strictly prohibited from giving cash change or exchanging benefits for cash under any circumstances. If violations are found, merchants will be suspended from the program and required to repay government subsidies. She urged the public and businesses to comply strictly with the conditions to ensure the measure effectively supports living costs, benefiting both citizens and the economy, fulfilling the program’s goal of “Thai helping Thai.”
