Reminder for Existing State Welfare Card Holders to Confirm Eligibility from 4-21 June

The government emphasizes that only existing holders of the "State Welfare Card" must confirm their eligibility from 4 to 21 June 2026. This is to update the existing database that has not been reviewed for many years. Eligibility results will be announced on 17 July 2026. New applicants do not need to register yet.,


3 June 2026 GMT+7 Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that the 2026 State Welfare Card registration project aims to direct assistance specifically to those truly in need to improve their quality of life and to update the old database that has not been reviewed for many years.

The government spokesperson further stated that, to avoid confusion regarding registration, existing State Welfare Card holders are urged to confirm their rights from 4 to 21 June 2026. Eligibility verification results will be announced on 17 July 2026. Concurrently, the Ministry of Interior, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Pattaya City, and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security will survey those who were missed in previous rounds and assist low-income individuals to access benefits under the program.

Regarding the channels for confirming eligibility pending review under new criteria, they are as follows:

Eligibility criteria for welfare benefits include:

1) Must be Thai nationals aged 18 or older.

2) Must not be any of the following persons:

  • Monks, novices, ascetics, or religious clergy,
  • prisoners, detainees, people in state welfare institutions, students,
  • government officials, government employees, or political officeholders,
  • employees or staff of government agencies with annual income exceeding 100,000 baht,
  • pensioners or recipients of monthly government pensions or allowances,
  • company shareholders, directors, or partners in partnerships,
  • persons holding securities trading accounts or bond holdings,
  • holders of ordinary life insurance policies paying premiums of 12,000 baht or more per year,
  • persons whose names have been used for tax deduction purposes as parents, spouses, or children.

3) Have income or payments to any person not exceeding 100,000 baht per year.

4) Must not have credit cards.

5) Must not have total credit loan limits exceeding 100,000 baht.

6) Must not have deposits or savings certificates totaling more than 100,000 baht per year.

7) Must not own real estate or must meet the following property ownership limits:

  • Condominium units combined must not exceed 35 square meters in total area.
  • Detached houses, townhouses, row houses, and shophouses combined must not exceed 25 square wah (100 square meters) in total land area.
  • For farmers, land and residence combined must not exceed 10 rai (16,000 square meters).
  • For non-farmers, land and residence combined must not exceed 1 rai (1,600 square meters).

8) Must not own motor vehicles or other vehicles except for one motorcycle with engine capacity not exceeding 300 cc, one three-wheeled vehicle, one small four-wheeled taxi, or one agricultural vehicle.
