Prime Minister Visits Sriyan Market to Check Public Response to Thai Help Thai Plus Program

The Prime Minister visited Sriyan Market to assess the momentum of the “Thai Help Thai Plus” initiative, meeting the public, shopping broadly, and buying durians to distribute to motorcycle taxi drivers.

At 12:40 p.m. on 3 June 2026, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Chanvirakul, accompanied by Ms. Traisuree Traisoranakul, Secretary to the Prime Minister, visited the Sriyan area to meet citizens shopping under the 'Thai Help Thai Plus 60/40' program. The visit was broadcast live on the Prime Minister’s personal Facebook page.

During the visit, the Prime Minister stopped to buy fruit from his usual vendor, paying through the Thai Help Thai Plus program. He then greeted the public and selected canned rambutans at a grocery store. People approached him, praising the program as very effective, reflecting its strong public acceptance. Citizens of all ages continuously requested photos with the Prime Minister.

Next, the Prime Minister crossed the street to 'Jiew Fish Ball Yaowarat,' a participating shop in the Thai Help Thai Plus program, where he posed with the owner making the 'plus' hand gesture for photos. He then stopped at a kitchenware store to buy two boxes of stainless steel spoons from the Zebra brand and a shoe storage box, paying in cash.

The Prime Minister later purchased a pink milk drink at a local coffee shop and bought durians to give away to motorcycle taxi drivers. He engaged warmly with entrepreneurs and customers in a lively atmosphere, with many people asking to take photos and offering continuous encouragement.
