Health Minister Anutin fired back at "Kung Fu," exposing the Chong Sangam casino's alleged ties to Thai politicians, and sent him for psychiatric evaluation at Sri Thanya Hospital. He pointed out that the live-stream hype is intended to disrupt national security.
On 3 June 2026 GMT+7, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, commented on the tense situation along the Thai-Cambodian border, especially the recent provocations at Chong Bok in Nam Yuen district, Ubon Ratchathani province. He said citizens are continuing their lives as usual, and that security forces and the military are fully prepared to guard the border. He added that negotiations are the responsibility of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and emphasized that Thailand faces no problems after canceling MOU 44, as the government had carefully considered this.
The Prime Minister addressed the provocations at Chong Bok, saying such incidents occur almost daily and reflect the ongoing lack of good relations between the two countries. However, Thailand emphasizes patience, as it holds the upper hand and must remain composed to show strength and command respect. He praised the brave soldiers for exercising great restraint and affirmed that since the ceasefire agreement was signed on 28 December 2025, the border has become much calmer compared to the same period last year.
When asked about Wasawat Puangponsri, or "Kung Fu," leader of the Thai Ruam Palang Party, revealing information about a casino at Chong Sangam connected to Thai politicians, Anutin replied he was unaware of this. He said the government does not heed rumors or hearsay because it has an effective intelligence system and national defense plans. The military's power has not diminished. Regarding scammers on the other side, this administration has already cracked down and confiscated assets worth over 30-40 billion baht.
When pressed on whether a committee would be formed to investigate the leaked information, the Prime Minister immediately declined, stating that it is the police and intelligence agencies' responsibility, which have better capabilities than those doing live broadcasts. He said real security matters are not aired publicly. Those who speak out and stir unrest this way are a threat to society and he suggested they might need to be sent to Sri Thanya Hospital.
