Chadchart campaigns at Talad Setthi market, smiling as people praise his creative campaign posters. He insists that traditional posters fail to engage people and that politics must be made enjoyable. He emphasizes urgent policies addressing Bangkok's livelihood problems, stating the city has no money to distribute but insists all services should be free.
On 4 Jun 2026 GMT+7, Chadchart Sitthiphan, candidate number 9 for Bangkok governor in the Talad Setthi area of Bang Na district, said the key issue in Bang Na is flooding. The most important canal is Bang Na Canal. Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has developed the area by building embankments, improving several roads, and installing water pumps at the canal's end. Overall, the situation has greatly improved. Early in his term as governor, the Khlong Kled tunnel collapsed, which he repaired and completed by extending the tunnel. The Udomsuk Bridge has reopened, improving flood management in Bang Na. Street vendor issues have been addressed by organizing multiple areas. Traffic problems require coordination with relevant agencies. The BTS Skytrain helps alleviate traffic congestion. Soon, a new Bang Na hospital under Bangkok Metropolitan Administration will open to serve Bang Na and Udomsuk residents. There is also a wastewater treatment project under consideration regarding its implementation method.
Regarding the feedback on his new campaign poster style, which uses stickers on elevator fronts and BTS trains, Chadchart said many praised it as a good, creative idea. Since the campaign theme is "Politics Should Be Fun," this approach reaches a broader range of people, including those previously uninterested in politics. Starting with campaign posters, he wants to encourage higher voter turnout. Traditional posters likely fail to attract younger generations, but doing something different draws attention.
Chadchart said his urgent policy if re-elected for a second term as Bangkok governor would be to continue fighting corruption. However, the economic livelihood of the people covers everything, such as minimizing expenses; all schools must be free, good, and of high quality; hospitals must provide good treatment and services. Bangkok Metropolitan Administration does not have money to give to citizens because it is only a local authority. Its role is to reduce costs and facilitate the public as much as possible. The economic livelihood issue is very significant.
During Chadchart Sitthiphan's campaign at Talad Setthi market, many residents and office workers crowded to take photos with him. Many expressed happiness at meeting him in person, while some regretted not having a Bangkok house registration because the area borders Bangkok and Samut Prakan. They offered their support, wishing Chadchart to be re-elected as Bangkok governor for a second term. Young people came to request his brochures to read his policies and share with their families. Chadchart thanked everyone and asked vendors about their trade and economic conditions.
