Anucha, Democrat Party Bangkok Governor Candidate, Advocates Using Budget to Build Senior Citizen Homes

Bangkok Governor Election 2026: Anucha, Democrat Party candidate for governor, promotes a policy to use Bangkok's budget to build senior citizen homes and stresses that having a governor and councilors from the same party can more easily address the problems of Bangkok residents.

At 1:00 p.m. on 4 June 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Anucha Burapachaisri, candidate for Bangkok governor from the Democrat Party, , along with Mr. Suchai Phongpianchob, candidate for Bangkok Metropolitan Council (BMC) member for Khlong Toei district, visited the Khlong Toei Assistance Association in Khlong Toei district, where many local residents warmly welcomed them, took photos, and greeted them warmly. Several locals joked that he still looked handsome. Anucha is a former Member of Parliament for Khlong Toei and Watthana districts and has continuously developed Khlong Toei during his time as MP. Afterwards, he campaigned door to door and rode a tricycle pushed by Suchai.

Anucha said at one point, "The problems in Khlong Toei are housing, income, and a large number of elderly residents. We have a policy to use Bangkok's budget to build senior citizen homes for the city's people. Currently, people have to wait for years to access senior citizen homes. Citizens have expressed a desire to see Bangkok establish its own homes so they won't face long queues. This is part of making life more comfortable. We work together to solve problems by listening to what people want, rather than imposing our own ideas entirely. We want the public to feel involved.

If there is a governor named Anucha, we will take care of people's livelihoods. Whatever problems arise, councilors will bring them to the governor to solve and collaborate on designing Bangkok together."

The Democrat Party's Bangkok governor candidate further stated that in the near future, Khlong Toei will not only be a community area but a city at the heart of Thailand, where safety, cleanliness, parks, and open spaces are no longer concerns. This vision goes beyond current issues to the future. If the governor and councilors are from the Democrat Party, problems can be addressed immediately, and the public will surely benefit.

Mr. Suchai said that being an independent councilor is difficult because there is no support or budget for work. If councilors are party-affiliated and the governor is from the same party, coordination is easier. If problems arise in Khlong Toei or the future, they can be resolved promptly, ensuring clear benefits for the people.
