Chatchat teamed up with his son Saendee to campaign by vehicle in Chom Thong and Bang Khun Thian areas, demonstrating a vision to enhance a comprehensive elderly care center.
On 6 June 2026, Chatchat Sitthiphan, candidate for Governor of Bangkok, number 9, campaigned in Chom Thong and Bang Khun Thian districts. This occasion was notable as his son, Saenpiti Sitthiphan, known as "Saendee," joined him in canvassing. They started from Chom Thong district in a campaign vehicle broadcasting announcements, moving toward Sinthavee Villa Village and stopping to visit a community sports ground renovation project—a project requested by residents during Chatchat's previous term as governor in 2024.
Subsequently, Chatchat and his team proceeded by campaign vehicle to the Thonburi Housing Community 1-5 to listen to issues and meet residents. They emphasized policies for elderly care, covering health aspects and promoting income-generating occupations in cooperation with the private sector, along with plans to improve community street lighting. He told residents that while they could choose any district councilor, for governor they should select someone honest who works for the people. Noting the area's dense population and many elderly residents, he proposed developing the Bang Khun Thian elderly hospital into a comprehensive senior care center, transforming bedridden seniors into active participants in group activities.
Regarding the Bang Khun Thian wave-breaking embankment project, which some residents want made permanent, Chatchat explained it is a decades-long ongoing project. Changing criteria now would require studies and actions taking many years. He said the existing intermittent embankment concept effectively helps preserve the shoreline.
On the issue raised by Panikarn Vanich, a leader of the Progressive Movement, who claimed that Chatchat's campaign billboards were installed in areas previously offered to the People's Party but rejected, Chatchat stated he was unaware of the details. He emphasized instructing his team always to comply with the law and forbade involvement in areas related to Bangkok administration to avoid allegations of conflicts of interest.
Meanwhile, Sanan Wangsangbun, a member of Chatchat's team, added that the campaign policy prohibited placing signs on public sidewalks. Instead, they purchased commercial advertising from Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM), installing two signs on two of 54 train carriages, plus advertisements on minibus and bus line 4 vehicles. Chatchat stressed he did not want unfairness; if investigations showed favoritism toward his team, he would immediately remove those ads to maintain fairness with others.
Additionally, Chatchat spoke about his son Saendee joining the campaign, admitting initial legal concerns since Saendee was not registered as a campaign assistant. After legal advice confirmed a son could participate, he allowed him to join, instructing Saendee only to smile and wave to the public to avoid speaking mistakes. Saendee had just returned to Thailand yesterday and was eager to engage immediately. Having his son by his side was a great encouragement and brought him happiness during the campaign. Whether Saendee will join every day depends on his readiness and willingness.
