Chaiwat Declares the Most Sacred Poll Is on 28 June, Urges Undecided Voters to Give People’s Party a Chance

"Jo Chaiwat," Bangkok gubernatorial candidate, declared that the most sacred poll is on election day, 28 June. He is committed to working fully and at his best, hoping to win over undecided voters to support the People’s Party.

7 June 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Chaiwat Sathawornwijit, candidate for Bangkok governor from the People’s Party, commented on the NIDA Poll results titled “First Phase of the 2026 Bangkok Governor Election Battle,” where the first place is Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt. Second place is undecided voters, while Mr. Chaiwat is in third place. When asked how he plans to close the gap, he said, "I believe the most sacred poll is on 28 June, the election day for Bangkok governor and the Bangkok Metropolitan Council (BMC)." He and all candidates for the Bangkok Metropolitan Council will perform their duties to the fullest and best of their abilities, presenting their policies and work plans for Bangkok straightforwardly and honestly, hoping the public will give them a chance to work, which requires daily dedication.

Regarding whether he is confident that undecided voters will choose him, Mr. Chaiwat said this is the group they hope to win over, and they expect those undecided to see that giving the People’s Party a chance will lead to change for Bangkok’s future, unlike the past four years, which is what they ask for.

When asked if there will be any impressive campaigns near the end of the election, Mr. Chaiwat replied, "Please stay tuned. We will have campaigns in phases, continuously communicated through various channels."
