Sirikanya campaigns actively in Pattaya supporting Itthiwat for mayor, promoting local politics to address traffic congestion, flooding, extortion, and distribute income to small vendors. She emphasizes that having only MPs is insufficient; local political change is also necessary to effect real improvement.
On 7 June 2026 in Pattaya, Chonburi Province, Ms. Sirikanya Tansakul, Deputy Leader of the Prachachon Party, took part in campaign activities for the Pattaya mayoral and city council elections to support Itthiwat Watthanastatsorn, the Prachachon Party candidate for Pattaya mayor (number 1), along with other Prachachon Party candidates for city council in various districts.
In the morning, Ms. Sirikanya and Itthiwat joined Prachachon Party city council candidates for District 3 (numbers 7–12) in canvassing at Pattaya Beach to meet beach umbrella vendors and hear their concerns, including parking for tourists, public restrooms, and homelessness issues. In the afternoon, they visited Khlong Nok Yang area with Prachachon Party city council candidates for District 1 (numbers 8–13) to listen to suggestions and problems from small-scale local fishing communities.
Later in the evening, Ms. Sirikanya, along with the Pattaya mayoral candidate and Prachachon Party city council candidates, held a small campaign rally using a loudspeaker truck in front of the New Naklua Market, then proceeded in a motorcade along Pattaya–Naklua Road. Throughout the day, the Prachachon Party campaign team received a warm welcome from Pattaya residents and business owners who engaged in conversation, took photos, and continuously shared issues they want addressed.
During a meeting with umbrella vendors, Itthiwat stated that the Prachachon Party’s Pattaya team focuses on organizing quality economic stimulation activities aimed at distributing revenue from large businesses down to small vendors, especially local umbrella vendors. He noted issues with outside investors and foreigners leasing business spots extensively. Therefore, future events must ensure income genuinely reaches Pattaya residents. If entrusted with administration, the party will promote such activities to sustainably boost local vendors’ incomes.
Itthiwat added that he and the city council candidates have continuously listened to Pattaya residents' problems, including economic challenges, waste management, traffic congestion, and flooding. The Prachachon Party’s vision is clear: whether small entrepreneurs or community members, everyone must have equal opportunities to earn a living and access public services fairly.
Ms. Sirikanya noted that the issues raised by Pattaya residents throughout the day relate to everyday quality of life, which falls directly under the responsibilities of the Pattaya mayor and city council. Although the Prachachon Party has elected MPs representing this area, having MPs alone is insufficient to solve structural problems fully. Therefore, the party places great importance on local politics and believes its administrative approach will address citizens’ needs—organizing traffic, solving flooding issues, and facilitating commerce without extortion or bribery, thereby reducing costs and genuinely increasing economic opportunities for the people.
