
The Election Commission held a ceremony celebrating its 28th anniversary under the theme “Integrity, Transparency, Neutrality, and Justice,” in a cheerful atmosphere where Narong teased Sa-weg Boonmee to take a holy water bath.

Narong Klanwarin, Chairman of the Election Commission, together with Thitichat Nuchanat, Jiruth Wisaljit, Narong Rakroi, Anan Suwanrat, along with Sa-weg Boonmee, Secretary of the EC, and other executives and staff, conducted a worship ceremony for the sacred spirits at the Government Complex on Chaeng Wattana Road and held a merit-making ceremony under the new slogan “Integrity, Transparency, Neutrality, and Justice.” Representatives from various government agencies, private sector, and state enterprises joined to congratulate, including Supapong Chawanlaen, Deputy Director-General of the Public Relations Department, and Worapanee Damrongmanee, Singapore’s Ambassador. Representatives from independent organizations and student groups also enthusiastically participated. Additionally, donations were collected for the Srisawangkwat Foundation under the royal patronage of HRH Princess Chulabhorn Walailak to support underprivileged patients at Chulabhorn Hospital.
Reporters noted that after the worship ceremony, the atmosphere was joyful and friendly. Narong Klanwarin, EC Chairman, sprinkled holy water and blessed the hands of the EC commissioners and executives present for good fortune. At one point, the chairman approached Sa-weg Boonmee, EC Secretary, and said, “For the secretary, you should take a holy bath,” which drew laughter and smiles from those attending amid the current workload and pressure.
