Thaksin Shinawatra has successfully removed his electronic monitoring (EM) bracelet after the Thonburi Criminal Court verified the list of individuals granted royal pardons. He is expected to fly to Dubai to visit Yingluck Shinawatra at the end of June, having not seen her for eight months.

On 9 June 2026, news updates reported on the case of Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra, former Prime Minister, at approximately 14:00 hours, Mr. Thaksin proceeded to remove the electronic monitoring (EM) bracelet in the presence of probation officers, completing the process following legal procedures. The Thonburi Criminal Court reviewed the list of those granted royal pardons and officially included Mr. Thaksin among the recipients.
