Anucha Urges Bangkok Executives to Quickly Clarify Wrongdoings, Plans to Expand Use of Song Rat App to Analyze Chadchart Era

Anucha led the Democrat Party's councilor candidates campaigning in Khan Na Yao and Bueng Kum districts, pressing Bangkok executives to quickly clarify allegations of shielding wrongdoers and preparing to expand the use of the 'Song Rat' app to analyze the 'Chadchart Era'.

At 17:30 on 9 June 2026, Anucha Burapachaisri, Democrat Party (Democrat) candidate number 5 for Bangkok governor, campaigned and introduced himself to residents in Khan Na Yao and Bueng Kum districts along with the party's councilor candidates: Kasanan Ruangtab, candidate number 1 for Khan Na Yao, and Akkorn Pramong, candidate number 4 for Bueng Kum. They visited Fashion Island shopping center and Nuan Chan 38 Market (formerly Wang Rung Market), attracting considerable attention from evening shoppers.

Anucha commented on former Bangkok governor Chadchart Sittipunt's joint press conference with the previous Bangkok administration, which addressed the investigation results into complaints about corruption involving the purchase of exercise equipment priced many times above market value. The previous administration imposed only a 600 baht salary cut on those involved. "The investigation and punishment of those involved are not yet complete." He added that this issue deeply conflicts with the sentiments of Bangkok residents, as society has been awaiting answers for quite some time. If corruption truly occurred, the former administration must openly and honestly explain to the public without delaying, which undermines public trust. The public is watching closely to see who will ultimately be held responsible—whether it will be solely permanent officials or if political figures will also be implicated.

The Democrat Party has discussed enhancing the rigor of oversight by adopting the “Song Rat” platform, an innovative application and database, to monitor government procurement activities.

Using the “Song Rat” app to analyze the “Chadchart Era”.

"We are currently inputting all Bangkok contracts into the 'Song Rat' system to analyze abnormalities, such as identifying individuals involved in procurement, whether companies receiving contracts pay kickbacks or have histories of delivering such equipment to Bangkok before, at what prices, and how many times. This Bangkok case will serve as a pilot model to combat corruption. Once data entry is complete, the party will hold a major press conference to officially report abnormalities to Bangkok residents." Anucha said.
