'Chaiyachonok' is confident that the Khao Kradong issue will not weaken the government. He reiterated the previous stance that legitimacy is based on proper land ownership documents, noting that 'Grandfather Chai' signed back six rai of land lacking ownership documents. He requested the legal team to proceed with the details.
At 10:00 a.m. on 10 June 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Chaiyachonok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, said at the Government House regarding the case that Police General Seripisut Temiyavet, List MP, leader of the Seri Ruam Thai Party, and the network group of students and citizens for Thailand reform (CPOT) came to submit a letter to the Prime Minister demanding clarification about the Khao Kradong land. After reviewing the information, he urged to let the matter proceed according to legal procedures and reaffirmed the same position as before concerning rights and legitimacy.
"Regarding the issue raised about Mr. Chai Chidchob, I want people to check the information themselves rather than just listening to me. The land area that 'Grandfather Chai' signed back without ownership documents is only six rai. It is clear that if there is no land title, our family still signed back. We must uphold what is correct and rightful. However, the remaining area has ownership documents, and we legally possess it. So, let the legal process take its course."
When asked whether the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has filed a lawsuit regarding land related to the Chidchob family, Mr. Chaiyachonok said everything is currently under legal process and asked that the legal team provide clarity. When further asked if this matter might be a government weakness, he responded, "I don't think so."
