At 09:00 on 11 June 2026, in the reception room on the 2nd floor of the Thai Khu Fah Building, Government House, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, welcomed Ms. Xian Hui, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, along with a delegation of over 19 people, including Mr. Zhang Jianwei, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Thailand, who paid a courtesy visit during their official visit to Thailand as guests of the Senate from 11-12 June 2026.
Anutin said this visit reflects the importance the Chinese side places on Thailand-China relations and helps strengthen cooperation between the two countries. He expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for its continuous support and close coordination with Thailand, especially in the areas of economy, trade, investment, and transnational crime suppression. He also thanked China for supporting the procurement of urea fertilizer for Thailand.
Ms. Xian expressed pleasure in meeting the Prime Minister and praised Anutin's role in continuously advancing Thailand-China relations. She described the friendship between the two countries as special, like being part of the same family. She added that this meeting felt close and familiar, and conveyed good wishes from Chinese Premier Li Qiang to the Thai Prime Minister.
