Chayachonok and Jeset Offer Support to Fire Victims, Acknowledge Challenges in Ministerial Work

Chayachonok and Jeset rushed to encourage those affected by a fire that destroyed 55 homes in the Wat Bowonniwet community. They emphasized the need for urgent relief and were moved by villagers' support, who said that ministers working for the people naturally encounter obstacles.

On 11 June 2026, Mr. Chayachonok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, accompanied by Mr. Jeset Thaiseset, Deputy Minister of Interior, visited the scene of a fire that destroyed homes in the Wat Bowonniwet community, Pathumwan district, Bangkok. At the temporary shelter set up at Wat Sarabua School, they offered encouragement and provided initial aid supplies.

They then inspected the fire site in the Wat Bowonniwet community, meeting and encouraging local residents. They instructed officials to expedite assistance to the affected people, including relief measures. The victims, in turn, encouraged the ministers, saying that working for the public inevitably involves challenges during their field visit.

In total, 40 homes were completely destroyed and 15 homes partially damaged, affecting 55 households. A total of 68 families, comprising 228 individuals, were impacted by the fire.
