Government House lowered its flags to half-staff to mourn Princess Patcharakitiyapha, while Prime Minister Anutin led the Cabinet in a silent tribute to honor her memory and express gratitude for her royal benevolence before starting a special Cabinet meeting.


On 12 June 2026 GMT+7, reporters described the atmosphere at Government House following the Royal Household Bureau's announcement of the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Patcharakitiyapha Narentira Thepyawadi, Duchess of Ratchasarin Siriphat Maha Vajraratchathida. The national flag was lowered to half-staff in mourning.


Meanwhile, ministers, civil servants, officials, and members of the press all wore black to show their respect. At 08:56, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul arrived at the Thai Khu Fah building to perform his duties. Several ministers joined him there for discussions, including Minister of Industry Warawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Public Health Patthana Prompatan, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Suchart Chomklin, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office Supamas Isarapakdi, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office Pradorn Prissanananthakul, Minister of Culture Sabida Thaiset, Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office Yupa Taweewattanakitborworn, and Director-General of the Fine Arts Department Phanomphut Chantrachot.

At 10:00, Prime Minister Anutin chaired a special Cabinet meeting at Building 1 of the Government House.

Reporters noted that before the Cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister and Cabinet members stood in silent tribute to mourn the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Patcharakitiyapha Narentira Thepyawadi, Duchess of Ratchasarin Siriphat Maha Vajraratchathida, with deep gratitude for her royal benevolence. The Cabinet attended the meeting fully and wore mourning attire.
