Chadchart Unfazed by Poll Ratings, Orders Legal Team to Crack Down on Deputy Governor Pamphlets Featuring His Image

Chadchart has ordered the legal team to promptly investigate pamphlets that falsely pair his image with others, aiming to prevent public confusion. He emphasizes issuing warnings first to avoid escalation and remains unfazed by poll ratings, while three Deputy Governor candidates from Yannawa district join in a lively welcome.

On 12 June 2026 GMT+7, Chadchart Sittipunt, candidate number 9 for Governor of Bangkok, visited and engaged with residents while presenting policies at the Yannawa Elderly School in Yannawa district. He also addressed complaints that some Bangkok Metropolitan Council (BMC) candidates had distributed campaign pamphlets that covertly included his face and name, a practice that could mislead local voters.

Chadchart revealed progress on the matter, saying he had assigned his legal team to track and verify all details, including the specific district involved. Currently, he is focusing on preparing for debates, canvassing, and refining policies, which have recently expanded from 251 to 260 points.

He stated that his initial approach is to have the legal team issue warnings to deter such actions, as he prefers to avoid the matter escalating to court if possible. However, if intentional confusion persists and misleads the public, legal measures will be pursued fully to protect rights.

When asked about concerns over fluctuating poll ratings, Chadchart affirmed he is not worried, emphasizing that election outcomes ultimately rest with voters on election day. He is ready to accept all results and undergo scrutiny in all aspects, focusing primarily on advancing policies to best serve Bangkok residents.

In a light-hearted closing remark, Chadchart noted that the intense scrutiny and frequent attacks against him might evoke sympathy and compassion from the public.

The atmosphere during Chadchart’s campaign visit today was notably lively, as three Deputy Governor candidates from Yannawa district—representing various political groups—came to greet and welcome him. They included Ms. Hatkorn Kosoljit, candidate number 2 from the Team Workers group; Mr. Witthaya Dokklang, or Add Moo, candidate number 4 running as an independent; and Mr. Putthiphat Thanyathammanon, or Top, candidate number 6 from the Better Bangkok group, an independent and former reigning Deputy Governor of Yannawa district.

Chadchart engaged in conversations and encouraged all Deputy Governor candidates, emphasizing his political stance: he supports citizens upholding democracy by independently choosing their preferred candidates. He also urged all candidates to maintain good relations and unity to collaboratively drive local development and maximize benefits for the community.
