Governors Nationwide Hold Ceremony to Pour Holy Water Over the Royal Cremation Portrait of Princess Bajrakitiyabha

Governors across the country led officials and citizens from all walks of life in a ceremony to pour holy water over the royal cremation portrait of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha, demonstrating loyalty and remembrance of her incomparable royal benevolence.


On 13 Jun 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Assit Sampantarat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, announced that the ministry had informed all provincial governors about the Royal Household Bureau's announcement of the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, Princess Rajasarinisiri Patchra Mahavajraratchathida, dated 12 Jun 2026 GMT+7. The ministry also conveyed the announcement regarding the ceremony to pour holy water and pay respects at the royal cremation of Princess Bajrakitiyabha, also dated 12 Jun 2026 GMT+7. Each province was instructed to organize the ceremony at designated locations so officials and citizens from all sectors could collectively express loyalty and deeply honor her boundless royal grace.


The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior stated that currently, all provinces nationwide have held ceremonies to pour holy water over the royal cremation portrait of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, Princess Rajasarinisiri Patchra Mahavajraratchathida, proceeding with dignity and respect. This includes ceremonies in various districts, with many officials and citizens from all sectors attending in large numbers, for example:


1. Chiang Mai Province: At the 80th Anniversary Auditorium of the Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization, Mr. Ratthaphon Naradisorn, Governor of Chiang Mai, presided over the ceremony to pour holy water over the royal cremation portrait of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, Princess Rajasarinisiri Patchra Mahavajraratchathida. The Deputy Governor, provincial executives, Northern nobility, judiciary, military, police, department heads, and citizens from all walks of life in Chiang Mai participated in unison to deeply honor the immeasurable royal benevolence.


2. Surat Thani Province: At the Upper Southern Seminar Center, Surat Thani Provincial Government Center, Mr. Jumphat Wannachatsiri, Governor of Surat Thani, chaired the holy water pouring ceremony before the royal cremation portrait of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, Princess Rajasarinisiri Patchra Mahavajraratchathida, conducted with full dignity. Senior officials, the Deputy Governor, judiciary, military, police, department heads, state enterprise units, and citizens from all walks of life attended the ceremony.


3. Nakhon Pathom Province: At the Buddhama-maka Pavilion of Phra Pathom Chedi, Ms. Arocha Nanthamontri, Governor of Nakhon Pathom, presided over the holy water pouring ceremony before the royal cremation portrait of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, Princess Rajasarinisiri Patchra Mahavajraratchathida. The Deputy Governor, judiciary, military, police, department heads, officials, and citizens attended the ceremony.


4. Nong Bua Lamphu Province: At Wat Phisan Ranyawat (Royal Monastery), Mr. Surasak Aksornkul, Governor of Nong Bua Lamphu, presided over the holy water pouring ceremony before the royal cremation portrait of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, Princess Rajasarinisiri Patchra Mahavajraratchathida. The judiciary, military, police, department heads, royal volunteer workers, and citizens from all sectors joined the ceremony with grief and deep gratitude for her immeasurable royal grace.


5. Rayong Province: At the sermon hall of Wat Pa Pradu, Mr. Traiphop Wongtrairat, Governor of Rayong, presided over the holy water pouring ceremony before the royal cremation portrait of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, Princess Rajasarinisiri Patchra Mahavajraratchathida. Senior provincial executives, judiciary, military, police, department heads, officials, and citizens from all sectors of Rayong Province participated in the ceremony.

Udon Thani Province: At Thongyai Auditorium, Udon Thani Provincial Hall, Mr. Rachan Sunhua, Governor of Udon Thani, led senior provincial executives, judiciary, military, police, department heads, officials, private sector representatives, and citizens of Udon Thani in the holy water pouring ceremony before the royal cremation portrait of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, Princess Rajasarinisiri Patchra Mahavajraratchathida. The event was held to express condolences and deeply remember her incomparable royal kindness.


7. Chiang Rai Province: At Wat Phra Kaew, the Royal Monastery, Mr. Chucheep Pongchai, Governor of Chiang Rai, presided over the holy water pouring ceremony before the royal cremation portrait of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, Princess Rajasarinisiri Patchra Mahavajraratchathida. The Deputy Governor, judiciary, military, police, department heads, royal volunteers, children, youth, and citizens of Chiang Rai all participated together.



9. Samut Songkhram Province: At the multipurpose building, 2nd floor, Wat Phet Samut Worawihan, Mr. Chayachai Saengin, Governor of Samut Songkhram, presided over the holy water pouring ceremony before the royal cremation portrait of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, Princess Rajasarinisiri Patchra Mahavajraratchathida. The Deputy Governor, judiciary, military, police, department heads, officials, state enterprise employees, private sector, and general public all wore white mourning uniforms and formal black mourning attire to attend the ceremony in unity.


10. Pattani Province: At Wat Taninorasomphon, the Royal Monastery, Mrs. Patimoh Saddiyamu, Governor of Pattani, presided over the holy water pouring ceremony before the royal cremation portrait of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, Princess Rajasarinisiri Patchra Mahavajraratchathida. Deputy Governor Sanan Santhi Muang, judiciary, military, police, department heads, officials, and citizens from all sectors participated in the ceremony.
