“Theng” Supports 3 Bangkok Council Candidates Campaigning for Safe Communities, Clean Canals, and Convenient Travel

Bangkok Governor Election 2026: “Theng Natthapong” leads the People's Party candidates for Bangkok Council in Khlong San, Bang Kho Laem, and Yan Nawa districts, promoting policies for safe communities, clean canals, and convenient travel to build a caring city.

14 June 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Natthapong Rueangpanyawut, leader of the People's Party, joined the campaign trail to meet local residents ahead of the upcoming Bangkok Governor and Bangkok Council Member elections scheduled for 28 June, alongside candidates for Khlong San, Bang Kho Laem, and Yan Nawa districts, presenting urban development policies that genuinely address the lives of Bangkok residents.

They began the day early in Khlong San district, where Ms. Natthjira Supapan, People's Party candidate for Khlong San district, joined in meeting merchants and locals at Wat Sewat Chat Market and nearby communities, before boarding a campaign vehicle to broadcast messages around Krung Thonburi Road. They then continued on foot through the Thai Rama Cinema and A Niao Shrine communities.

In the afternoon, Mr. Natthapong went to Bang Kho Laem district to support Mr. Kittisak Utsahapradit, People's Party candidate for Bang Kho Laem district, starting by meeting people at Terminal 21 Rama 3 shopping center, then proceeding by campaign vehicle towards the intersection of Thanon Tok and Charoen Krung roads.

In the evening, they met locals at Ban Mai Market on Soi Charoen Krung 85, then broadcasted campaign messages along Sutprasert, Chaolam Nimit, Charoen Rat, Wat Ruang Yot, Wat Phai roads, and Sathu Pradit Road before moving into Yan Nawa district to campaign with Mr. Phatsak Mai Pranet, People's Party candidate for Yan Nawa district. They visited Rung Charoen Market and nearby areas on Sathu Pradit Road, concluding the day greeting residents along Sathu Pradit Road up to Lan Sai Market.

At one point, Mr. Natthapong emphasized the importance of policies on safety, environment, and transport systems, which are persistent issues in all three districts and many parts of Bangkok. He noted that Khlong San, Bang Kho Laem, and Yan Nawa districts have many alleys and narrow lanes where current security measures are insufficient, increasing the risk of crime.

The People's Party governor team focuses seriously on enhancing safety of life and property by promoting CCTV installation in alleys and vulnerable blind spots, increasing community lighting with LED lights in dark and isolated areas, alongside developing a fast and accurate repair reporting system.

Regarding environmental issues, especially canal management, which currently suffers from flooding due to lack of dredging, accumulated trash, and wastewater problems, the People's Party plans to implement a systematic and clear canal dredging schedule, always informing residents in advance. They also aim to increase trash disposal points in each community, adjust waste collection times to match actual volumes, and improve waste separation promotion from the source in a concrete way.

On travel and public transport connections, although these three districts are commercial hubs, communities, and important places, internal travel remains inconvenient. The People's Party governor team proposes upgrading bus stops to be functional with shelters against sun and rain, seating, lighting, easy access, CCTV, and clear route information. They also plan to expedite repair and maintenance of damaged roads and sidewalks, especially Rama 3 Road, a major thoroughfare with longstanding issues.

For secondary public transport systems like motorcycle taxi stands and songthaews, which have lacked organized regulation and sometimes impact traffic and passenger safety, the People's Party plans to clearly organize motorcycle taxi stands with designated parking and shelters. Songthaew stops will be systematized with clearly marked parking areas, preventing obstruction of traffic on the roads.

. At the end, the People's Party leader said that the problems observed during today's visits are not unique to these three districts but reflect issues in many other Bangkok districts. The People's Party has continuously studied and collected data, confident that with a true understanding of the root causes combined with a vision focused on addressing them, they can effectively alleviate residents' hardships and sustainably solve Bangkok's problems, transforming the city into a place where everyone can live more easily and genuinely care for all its people. .
