Anucha and Abhisit Campaign in Khlong Toei and Asok, Undeterred by Polls, Accelerate Policies for Bangkok Residents

Anucha and Abhisit led the Democrat Party's executive team in canvassing votes in Khlong Toei and Asok, affirming they are not concerned by poll trends but are motivated to work harder, while accelerating the promotion of future-oriented policies for Bangkok residents.

On 15 June 2026, Mr. Anucha Burapachaisri, the Democrat Party candidate for Bangkok Governor, number 5, along with Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva, Democrat Party leader; Dr. Kadee Liaoipiroj, Deputy Party Leader; Mr. Sakolthee Phattiyakul, Deputy Party Leader; and Mr. Ong-art Klamipailin, Party Leader's Advisor, conducted intensive campaigning in Khlong Toei and Watthana districts.

In the morning, Anucha and the Democrat Party executives visited Benjakitti Park to meet with people exercising and using the facilities, and inspected the "Dog Park," a key recreational spot for urban residents. Anucha engaged in discussions with dog owners to hear their concerns and needs for developing public spaces that better accommodate coexistence between people and pets. Afterwards, they proceeded to Ruamsap Market (Asok) in Watthana district, joining Mr. Methawin Meesuwan, Democrat Party candidate for Watthana district councilor number 5, to greet local vendors and residents up close.

Anucha spoke about adjusting his strategy in the final campaign stretch, saying he must work harder, wake up earlier, and return home later to explain policies to as many people as possible. Regarding poll results showing the party is not leading, Anucha said he is not worried because of his extensive experience campaigning in Bangkok and understands that trailing in polls motivates him to meet more people and spread policies widely.

"I'm not worried about polls because when I was an MP, I never topped the polls either, which pushed me to work even harder. The Democrat Party's support naturally rises and falls, but one thing proven is our sincerity. Our party has served the people for over 80 years, not just when holding office. Also, other candidates referencing or implementing my policies is positive, because ultimately, Bangkok residents will benefit," he said.

Anucha emphasized that his management approach for the next four years will not only focus on resolving longstanding problems but also on creating hope and defining Bangkok's future clearly. He invited citizens to choose Democrat Party candidates to ensure coordination between district-level and policy-level work for maximum effectiveness in solving Bangkok's problems.
