
Phiphat led the almsgiving ceremony for the ordination project under the patronage of the Supreme Patriarch, dedicated to Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Thepvadi, the Princess Royal.
At 07:00 on 15 Jun 2026 GMT+7, at Wat Ratchabophit Sathitmahasimaram in Bangkok, Somdet Phra Ariyavongsagatanana, the Supreme Patriarch, commanded Somdet Phra Maha Wirawong, Secretary to the Supreme Patriarch, to act on his behalf as the ecclesiastical chairman. He led the monks’ almsgiving activity for the ordination project under the Supreme Patriarch’s patronage, dedicated to Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Thepvadi, the Princess Royal. One hundred monks participated in the project, which is held from 13 to 29 June.
Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, along with Mr. Siripong Angkasungkij, Mr. Phattharaphong Phattharaprasit, and Mr. Sanphet Boonyamanee, Deputy Ministers of Transport; Mrs. Yupa Taweewattanakitbaworn, Permanent Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Office; Mr. Chayatham Promsorn, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport; executives from the Prime Minister’s Office and Ministry of Transport; civil servants, officials, and the public joined the almsgiving ceremony.
This event is part of the ordination project under the Supreme Patriarch’s patronage, organized to dedicate merit to Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Thepvadi, the Princess Royal. The monks participating in the project study the Buddhist scriptures and practice meditation at Wat Ratchabophit Sathitmahasimaram and the Meditation Institute of the Supreme Patriarch (Amphorn Mahathera) at Mahamakut Buddhist University in Lam Luk Ka district, Pathum Thani province, throughout the duration of the project.
